With just two days until the ball drops, there is still plenty of time to make plans for ringing in the new year. For those who like to get down and for those who prefer to chow down, Long Beach is sure to have the right celebration.

 

Club Real Ones at Rosemallows

For a backyard house party kind of vibe, join DJ Icy Ice at Club Real Ones. The monthly party that happens every first Sunday of the month at Grey LB is taking over Rosemallows in downtown Long Beach for a night of dancing, sipping, and a few special guests. The neighborhood bar that quickly endeared itself in the hearts of Long Beach locals, is closing out the year with a bang. Waldo’s pizza will be serving up woodfired pizzas, starting at 8pm. (Early arrival is recommended as they will sell out fast). Sip on specialty cocktails and indulge in live jazz music from The Shawn Baltazar Trio from 9-midnight. Be sure to bring your razzle and your dazzle, as prizes will be awarded to the best dressed. Did we mention there’s no cover?


Buvons

For those seeking a party and a tasty meal, bottle shop and bar, Buvons is hosting a celebration with an all-vinyl DJ set by Gooselamp. Nestled in the Zafaeria neighborhood, guests will have the option to purchase items from the special New Year’s Eve menu by neighborhood cafe, Mangette, featuring offerings such as oyster, Lobster Rolls and Shrimp Cocktail. The party begins at 7:30.


The Stave

Bid farewell to Stave’s holiday cocktails with a no-cover celebration in the heart of downtown Long Beach. In addition to craft cocktails, the bar boasts a selection of over 75 whiskies which pair nicely with cigars that are available for purchase, in-house. Sit on the patio near one of two large fire pits and enjoy food from Taco Cart Catering and dessert from Sergio’s Churros. With no cover and plenty of places to sit, this is  a no-frills New Year’s Eve celebration perfect for those who want to keep things more lowkey.

For those who want a little va va voom with their NYE, tiki bar, Bamboo club is throwing a party that won’t soon be forgotten. Sip on tiki favorites while listening to sounds from local djs and stick around for live burlesque performances. Eclectic Electric at Sura LBC

Get down on Korean bbq and soju at Sura Korean BBQ and Tofu House during their end of the year party. The 21+ event will feature 2 stages with live entertainment, playing all the best electronic dance hits from 3pm to 2am, along with an art car display. Rumor has it, there will even be an after party at a nearby, secret location. Keep in mind that this will be a cashless event. There is no cover to attend but drinks and food will be available for purchase. 


Secret Service LBC

Ring in the new year with house tunes by DJ Ardalan along with other up and coming performers. The space will also showcase a vendor village and art gallery. But the party doesn’t end on New Year’s Eve. Secret Service will also host a Day One’s party on Jan 1 from 1pm, featuring 3 stages with drum & bass, house, and techno. Tickets are available online:

Wherever you should find yourself on New Year’s Eve, remember that Long Beach Transit is providing free bus rides and extended service until 1am.
