This year, the Latino Comics Expo will be held in the Viva Event Center and runs from September 9th to 10th! This event is free to the public, but donations are welcome!

September 9th, Saturday, 1 pm
“Brown Hollywood”- A unique one-of-a-kind opportunity to speak to MacArthur Grant recipients Alex Rivera & Cristina Ibarra ( Film 🎥 directors of “ Sleep Dealer” & The Infiltrators) and Pulitzer-Prize nominated cartoonist, Lalo Alcaraz (Bordertown & Casagrandes) about surviving & thriving in Hollywood as a Latino/a creator.

September 9th, Saturday, 3 pm
Moctesuma Esparza – “Legend” – The legendary Movie Producer of Selena (Ballad of Gregorio Cortez) shares his experiences covering 5 decades in the movie-making industry. A rare chance to learn from a master.

September 10th, Sunday, 1 pm
“Latina Power” – Our yearly update on the state of Latina creativity within the comics & animation community. Hosted by the Comadres & Comics podcast

September 10th, Sunday, 3 pm
25 Years of El Muerto- Comic book Creator Javier Hernandez takes us on a journey with his amazing creation through comics, movies, and life.
