Clay Olla Workshop with Gene Studio

Come make some ollas (o-yahs) for your plants!

Ollas are porous terracotta vessels that provide a slow release of water to your plants through osmosis. Think of it as a water tank for your plants.

In this 1.5 workshop session, you will be provided tools and local California clay to sculpt ollas for your plants and learn a few basic clay-making skills.Your pieces will need to be fired to harden for use and will be available for pick up in about 2 weeks.

IG @gene__studio ‘s vision is to make ceramics more accessible through public workshops and provide insight on how to conserve water and create efficient ways of growing plants using clay technology.
