You might have seen this bar in films such as Tenacious D: Pick of Destiny or an episode of True Blood, and yes, this bar is just as exciting as it seems on TV. With a variety of craft beers on tap and live music Thursday-Sunday nights, Alex’s Bar is the perfect venue for your summertime fun.

4th Street Vine

In the heart of retro row sits a storefront that plays live music nightly. This wine and beer bar has a great selection of drinks, and again, plays live music nightly. With local bands, small food plates, and a cool hipster ambiance, 4th Street Vine is an excellent place to come enjoy some tunes.

This pub is the real deal. While you’re there order the Jameson Mule (Moscow Mule with Jameson instead of vodka). Auld Dubliner tends to fill up, but the service stays great and the live entertainment makes this one of the most lively pubs in downtown.

The Exhibition Room

You might not be able to view this bar from the street, but The Exhibition Room (a speakeasy hidden inside Roxanne’s Cocktail Lounge and Latin Grill) provides drinks and live entertainment that must be seen. Make a reservation on their website to get the super-secret password that grants you access to the room. Then, sit back as the melodies of the piano will instantly make this your favorite hidden gem.
