Join us for an evening of Sound and Self-care!

What:

A sound bath is a meditative experience where you are lying down. A sound facilitator, Lizette Nevarez, will guide you in meditation and play various instruments, such as, crystal bowls, Tibetan bowls, ocean drum, and more.

Why:

These harmonious vibrations will guide you into a state of deep relaxation and meditation! A sound bath will help you release tension, reduce stress, and promote mental clarity.

Who:

This experience is suitable for all! No previous experience in meditation or sound therapy is required. Come with a friend, partner, family, or on your own and enter in a peaceful state of mind.

What to bring:

You only need a yoga mat, pillow, and a blanket for comfort.

Welcome to our Macrame y Mimosas event, where you’ll learn how to create your own beautiful macrame creation while enjoying refreshing mimosas and delicious snacks!

Ticket includes: all the necessary materials for your macrame plant hanger and TWO drinks.

Our experienced macrame instructor, Rosa from Rosita’s Crafteria, will guide you through the process of creating your very own unique macrame piece. Whether you’re a complete beginner or have some experience with macrame, our instructor will provide step-by-step guidance and answer any questions you may have.

As you work on your macrame project, you can sip on mimosas and mingle with other attendees, making it a fun and relaxing social event.

So come join us for an unforgettable afternoon of creativity, fun, and mimosas! No previous experience is necessary, and all are welcome. Don’t miss out on this chance to learn a new skill, make new friends, and enjoy a refreshing drink at the same time!

Content:

In this workshop we will:

– Talk about common CA native plants that you can find in surrounding wild spaces and understand what LB might have looked like before it was urbanized

– Discuss different plants, what grows well in gardens and yards, and where to purchase native plants

– Share online content creators and resources to learn more about CA native plants

– Show where you can find CA native plants growing locally on a map

-Learn how LB is highly urbanized and how the re-introduction of native plants would be invaluable to our local fauna and our connection to the land

-Dispel the notion that ‘California doesn’t have seasons’ or ‘LA is a desert’; neither of these are true

– See real live examples of CA native plants and pass out seeds so you can start growing your own plants!
