Photography Experience at Willow Springs Park

The Friends of Willow Springs Park are proud to present our inaugural series: Willow Springs Experiences. These are FREE experiences in the exciting habitat of Willow Springs Park! The series runs from July through October 2023.

Our second experience is photography. Walking with a camera, we can turn off the noise that crowds our brains and become mindfully present in our surroundings, enriching our experience and counteracting everyday stress. We aim to be completely in the moment, seeing things that we are usually too busy to notice. After the photo walk, participants will edit their photos, through which we uncover connections between the visual environment and our own internal landscape. Finally, participants can upload their photos to a private facebook page, where group members will see Willow Springs Park with new eyes!

Photographic experience not required. Ages 12+ Either a simple digital camera (preferred if you have one) or a smart phone will work for the experience (nothing fancy needed). Guided by the Eye is led by photographer Victoria Bryan, who developed the process. (www.guidedbytheeye.com)
