This event will dispel the Black Superwoman myth and shed light on the importance of living “a softer life”—a life of ease, peace, comfort, and intentional happiness.
Often times, as Black Superwoman, we find ourselves working from 9-5 and then from 5-9, which eventually leads to being burnt out in all aspects of our lives. Seeking help is never easy, however there is beauty in vulnerability and knowing when to take your cape off. Hyper-independence can be a handicap!
This segment will transition into a discussion about setting boundaries and managing friendships and relationships, which can be difficult to maintain while wearing so many different hats.
The event will conclude with a discussion about effectively managing time and the work-life balance. We are all caught up in the hustle and bustle of everyday life, but we want to remind you to unapologetically prioritize self preservation and embrace the aspects of living a softer life, which are especially important for Black women dealing with stress and trauma.
