ABOUT THE BOOKS
Taking its cues from the wonderful world of online dating, HOUSEPLANT HOOKUPS explores the pros and cons of cohabitating with different houseplants. The perfect gift for any plant or gardening enthusiast, these illustrated dating profiles are as hilarious as they are informative.
MIDCENTURY MODERN STYLE shows how easy it is to bring midcentury modern touches to every room in the house whether you’re a seasoned designer or starting from scratch. Full of approachable guideposts to lead you, insider tips and tricks, and easy DIYs, you’ll learn how to create inspired, livable spaces full of mid-mod charm.
ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Agatha Isabel is a bad b*tch. After moving to Brooklyn from LA, she began her plant collection and rediscovered a deep connection with nature. She’s passionate about community-building in all aspects of her life and through Planting for Progress, a community-sourced project that raised money for human rights and local organizations, and her shop, Plant Ma, she has created a thriving plant community. With nature as her muse, she writes, paints, and travels to tropical locations as a creative outlet to balance her professional tech and privacy career. She can usually be found volunteering with local nonprofits, exploring new nature spots, vibing at a concert, or trying to find love on a dating app. She is currently based in Southern California.
Karen Nepacena is known for her ability to merge beauty and practicality, solve unique design problems and make interior design approachable for homeowners. She quickly emerged as one of the country’s leading authorities on mid-century modern design after her firm and blog Destination Eichler, chronicling her family’s journey restoring their Eichler home, captured the attention of publications such as domino, Dwell, HGTV Magazine, and Apartment. Karen is the author of Midcentury Modern Style: An Approachable Guide to Inspired Rooms, published by Gibbs Smith in October 2023.
